Mark KortenoeverSenior Partner
Born in Gouda in the Netherlands (1965), Mark graduated from Leiden University in 1987 with a master’s degree in Dutch law. He was admitted to the Bar of Rotterdam in 1987 and to the Sint Maarten Bar in 1988. Mark focuses on the litigation practice and advises on corporate matters with the emphasis on structure and project financing .
Apart from law practice, Mark is a member of the General Audit Chamber of Sint Maarten, a High Council of State charged with the examination of the financial and material management of the Government in the broadest sense of the word, and he serves as a deputy member on the Council for Disciplinary Matters.
Mark is now ranked as the Project Finance law expert in Sint Maarten by Global Law Experts and as Project Finance member in the Dutch Caribbean by International Referral.

Born in Haarlem in the Netherlands (1981), Willem graduated from the University of Amsterdam in 2007 with a master’s degree in International and European Law. In 2009 Willem graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. with a master’s degree in International Law. He was admitted to the Bar of New York in 2010 and the Bar of Sint Maarten in 2012. Willem practices as an all-round litigation attorney and assists prospective Sint Maarteners with their immigration papers.

Born in Laag-Soeren, the Netherlands (1976), Bram graduated from the University of Groningen in 2002 with a master’s degree in Notarial Law.
Bram is a solution minded legal counsel. He started his career as a (deputy) civil law notary with a large international law firm in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He mainly worked in a highly specialized international corporate law practice (M&A & corporate restructurings). However, Bram is also experienced in family law (Estate planning and the liquidation of estates) and – as a former civil law notary – he is familiar with real estate transactions, especially within corporate structures.
After having worked for about 8 years as a (deputy) civil law notary, Bram became in-house counsel with one of the largest banks in The Netherlands. Prior to joining Lexwell, Bram worked as Company Secretary with the same bank for about two years.

Born in Hilversum, the Netherlands (1987), Femke graduated cum laude from the University of Utrecht in 2011 with a master’s degree in Dutch Private Law. In 2012, Femke graduated from the University of Cambridge (UK) with a first class LL.M. degree. Shortly afterwards Femke was admitted to the Bar of the Netherlands and she worked as an attorney in corporate law and commercial contracts for over three years at a top 20 law firm in Utrecht.
Femke joined Lexwell in 2016 and is admitted to the Bar of Sint Maarten.

Born in Haarlem in the Netherlands (1963), Jeroen graduated from Leiden University in 1987 with a masters degree in tax law. He was admitted as an attorney to the Bar of Middelburg (Netherlands) in 1988 and to the Bar of Curacao in 1989. He works on Sint Maarten as an attorney since 1992. Jeroen practiced as an all-round litigation attorney and corporate lawyer for 27 years. From late 2015 till November 2017, he took a sabbatical and spent his time on getting his MBA and to work as general counsel/ chief operations officer for SZV, the Sint Maarten health insurance and pension administrator.
Per December 1st, 2017 Jeroen practices full time again at Lexwell in the field of real estate, corporate law, and corporate governance. Jeroen also has a lot of experience in complex (cross border) divorce cases.
Apart from the law practice, he held certain additional positions, such as secretary of the Appellate Council for Disciplinary Matters, deputy member on the Sint Maarten Electorate Council and Chairman of the Board of the USZV; a Sint Maarten public body charged with the administration of the state pension and national health insurance.
